Digital network model for tests of different equipment in electric power systems

In this paper the interface developed for real-time communication, DINEMO (Digital Network Model), is described. It has been used for different applications in the last five years. This digital network model comprises all necessary power system hardware components and communication between different computers and any real equipment. Furthermore it is possible to perform digital real-time simulations for hardware-in-the-loop testing of real equipment.
