Abstract :
This paper assesses the three leading technologies for capture of CO2 in power generation plants, i.e., post-combustion capture, precombustion
capture and oxy-fuel combustion. Performance, cost and emissions data for coal and natural gas-fired power plants are
presented, based on information from studies carried out recently for the IEA Greenhouse Gas R&D Programme by major engineering
contractors and process licensors. Sensitivities to various potentially significant parameters are assessed.
