Abstract
The effects of pressure on the volumetric coefficient kLa and the interfacial area a in a counter-current packed column were studied in the pressure range 105 to 12 × 105 Pa. The method of gas/liquid absorption with chemical reaction was applied. The influence of the gas/liquid system on the interfacial area was also studied using three different chemical systems.
It is shown that a and kLa decrease when the total pressure is increased. The authors have attempted to explain the differences between the values of a obtained under atmospheric pressure when the chemical system is changed.
Résumé
En mettant en œuvre lʹabsorption gaz/liquide avec réaction chimique, lʹinfluence de la pression totale (105 à 12 × 105 Pa) sur le coefficient de transfert de matière kLa et lʹaire interfaciale a été étudiée dans une colonne à garnissage fonctionnant à contre-courant. Lʹinfluence du système chimique a aussi été étudiée en utilisant trois systèmes chimiques différents.
Il a été montré que a et kLa diminuent quand la pression augmente et nous avons essayé dʹinterpréter les différences entre les valeurs de lʹaire interfaciale obtenues sous pression atmosphérique quand on change de système chimique.
