Abstract :
Densities and refractive indices of binary mixtures containing soybean
oil+(methanol, ethanol, 1-propanol, 2-propanol, or 1-butanol) have been
measured from 283.15 to 298.15K at atmospheric pressure, over the complete
homogeneous composition range. Derived properties, such as excess molar
volumes, partial excess molar volumes, and excess isobaric compressibilities,
have been determined. Values of physical properties were compared with the
results obtained by different prediction methods; the results were analyzed
according to the non-ideality and large differences of molecular characteristics
of the compounds included in this study.
