Optimal consumption-wealth relationships derived by consumer intertemporal profit maximisation

This paper proposes an artificial intertemporal consumer profit-maximisation problem that is simple to solve. The optimal consumption function, which is consistent with intertemporal utility maximisation, is then generated directly from a specification of the consumerʹs instantaneous profit function.
