Efficiency of a fixed but allocatable input: A non-parametric approach

The traditional non-parametric or DEA models measure efficiency for given inputs and outputs without allowing for reallocation of inputs. These models do not look inside the technology but rather treat it as a ‘black boxʹ. In this paper, we open up the box by modeling the possibility of reallocation of a fixed input.
