A reestimation of the Evans–Jovanovic entrepreneurial choice model

The Evans–Jovanovic finding that entrepreneurial ability and wealth are negatively correlated is puzzling. We show that this may result from a downward bias in their wealth data. Using less-biased wealth data, we find a positive correlation, which is theoretically more justifiable.
