The impact of local funding on the technical efficiency of Oklahoma schools

The parameters of a stochastic production frontier and the determinants of X-inefficiency are estimated simultaneously using a maximum likelihood estimator (MLE) proposed by Battese and Coelli [Empirical Eco. 20 (1995) 325]. The purpose is to test the effect of local control and funding on public school X-inefficiency.
