A meta-analysis of the export growth hypothesis

Meta-analysis is performed on a sample of seventy-six studies that have empirically gauged the nexus between exports and economic growth. The results show that studies that use aggregate exports report lower t-ratios, but studies that use oil and manufactured exports report higher t-ratios. The study also documents the existence of publication bias in the literature
