Abstract
A general non-iterative, two-dimensional parabolized Navier-Stokes (PNS) code has been developed to predict the steady viscous flow field about objects travelling at high supersonic/hypersonic speeds. The equations are solved with an implicit approximate-factorization finite-difference scheme which is second-order accurate in the cross-flow direction. The use of a global pressure iteration (GPI) procedure for solving strong interaction problems is demonstrated for a family of compression corners at a high Reynolds number (10^6) and at high speed flows (M(unlmited) = 3 and 5).
