Abstract :
Homogenization and last ice melting temperatures of fluid inclusions trapped in cogenetic quartz intergrown with ore mineral at the Qaleh-Zari copper mine indicate that mineralization has taken place over a temperature range of 130-390°C, with two prominent peaks at 240 and 300°C. The fluids responsible for structurally controlled fissure filling mineralization were dilute and do not show any apparent change in temperature and salinity with depth. Scanning electron microscopy of the daughter minerals indicate that they are mostly K-Na-Al-Si phases.
