Transport properties of AgI---Ag2O---P2O5---MoO3 amorphous solid electrolyte

The transport properties of a new solid glassy electrolyte AgI---Ag2O---P2O5---MoO3 are investigated. The addition of AgI to the host AG2O:P2O3:MoO3 system enahces the conductivity by almost three orders of magnitude. The density and glass transition temperatures vary linearly with AgI content. Studies with electrochemical cells have demonstrated the utility of this material for technological applications.
