Abstract :
A comparative study of the photolysis of carbazole with N^ laser and UV light has been described. UV light effects simple N,Nʹ-dimerization, whereas with laser, the molecule gets cleaved, producing A^V^-biscarbazolyl, phenol and aniline, in higher yield.
