Synthesis of some isoindole-l,3 dione and amino-oxyalkyl derivatives of benzimidazole

2-(Bromoalkoxy)-lH-isoindole-l,3-dioncs arc condensed with benzimidazole and its derivatives to give 2-[(benzimidazole-l-yl)-alkoxy]lH-isoindole-l,3-diones. Hydrolysis under acidic conditions gives the corresponding amino-oxy compounds.
