Abstract :
A series of complexes of the types ML2Lʹ2, where M = Mn , Co", L = 2-pyridylaldoxime, L` = neutral ligand (quinoline, isoquinoline, pyridine and Y-picoline) and MLLʹ2, where M = Znʹ, L •= 2-pyridylaldoxime and Lʹ = neutral ligand, have been synthesized. The complexes are monomeric and non-clectrolytic in nature. The magnetic moment values indicate paramagnetic nature of (lie complexes of Co . Mn and diamagnetic of Zn . IR spectra reveal the coordination of Schiff base ligand and neutral ligand. The electronic spectral data suggests octahedral geometry for the complexes of Mn and Co but tetrahedral for Zn .
