Abstract :
This paper presents a perturbation and ®nite±boundary element combined approach for solving the problem of linear creep. Compared with the conventional incremental method, the ®eld variables, without assumptions of remaining constant or varying linearly with time within a discretised time interval, can be described more precisely. The recursive formulae of perturbation for boundary±®nite elements are constructed with the consideration of reinforcement. Numerical veri®cation of the approach proposed gives good correlation against analytic solutions. This encourages the extension of the work
