Abstract
Mood state measures (TSM and SACL) were administered pre- and post-game to Dutch male rugby players at four successive rugby games (two home and two away). Statistical analysis showed that game venue had no significant effect on the rugby playersʹ pre-game mood responses, but that there were important post-game differences related to arousal. A number of significant findings associated with game outcome on serious-playful planning-spontaneous, arousal and stress items were also revealed.
