Abstract :
NF-κB is a common intersection point in signaling pathways downstream of many different receptors. The Bcl10 adaptor protein, originally identified as a chromosomal translocation protein in mucosa-associated lymphoma tissue (MALT), was thought to be an antigen receptor-specific regulator of NF-κB. A new study now shows that Bcl10 is required for the development of follicular, B1 and marginal zone (MZ) B cells and, in addition, for lipopolysaccharide (LPS) signaling to NF-κB in MZ B cells.
