Determination of traces of thallium using the transient chaotic regime in the Belousov-Zhabotinskii oscillating chemical reaction

New method is developed for the determination of traces (<10-9M) of thallium(I) in aqueous solutions. The method is based on an effect of thallium(I) ions on transient chaotic regimes in the Belousov-Zhabotinskii oscillating chemical reaction. The optimum conditions for the determination has been determined. The detection limit is <=10-12M. There are few interferences at low concentrations.
