Abstract
A self-reinforced polyglycolic acid membrane has been used successfully to repair 15 orbital floor fractures in 12 consecutive patients. As polyglycolic acid is absorbable it does not cause the complications of longterm infection and migration associated with non-absorbable bioinert alloplastic repair materials.
