Abstract :
The HfO2-YO1.5 quasibinary system has been assessed using the CALPHAD technique. With the set of optimized parameters a calculated phase diagram which agrees well with experimental information has been obtained. It is shown that further tentative details are required especially for the peritectic reaction L + Css = Yss at high temperature as well as decomposition of fluorite phase at low temperature.
