The response of the thermoluminescent dosimeter CaF2: Tm to protons

This study describes the response of the thermoluminescent dosimeter CaF2:Tm to protons from a Van de Graaff accelerator, with energies between 0.7 and 3.0 MeV and doses between 5 and 350 Gy (137Cs γ-equivalent). Glow curve analysis indicates that the response is similar to that for α-particles, and depends on proton energy, dose and storage time.
