Excitation functions and yields of the reactions induced by alpha-particle bombardment of natural silver

Stacked targets of natural silver were bombarded by α-particles of energies up to 26.3 MeV. The excitation functions of the 107Ag(α,n)110mIn, 107Ag(α,pn)109Cd and 109Ag(α,2n)111In reactions were determined. Based on these results thick target yields were calculated. The experimental results were compared with the calculations made using the exciton model. Both are basically in agreement.
