A new look at radiationless transitions in muonic atoms

Our model of two indistinguishable quantum oscillators previously used in the analyses of nuclear excitation in an electron transition (NEET) and nuclear excitation in positron-electron annihilation (NEPEA) processes is extended to radiationless transitions in muonic atoms (RLTμA). For the RLTμA in muonic atoms of 238U our model predicts transition probabilities WRL which are in very good agreement with the available experimental data.
