Results of measurements made by SMSRB on samples collected in Mururoa by international scientific delegations

Since 1983, a number of scientific delegations have visited the Mururao, site, either on invitation by the French Government or on request by SMSRB; scientist from South Pacific countries, headed by Professor Atkinson, Cousteua Foundation representatives (Cousteau Foundation, 1988) and two other missions supervised by IAEA. During these visits, a number of samples were taken, a part of which was analysed by SMSRB: soil, plants, water, sediments, plankton, fish, crustacenas and shellfish. The article presents our results and compares them with data from other laboratories. An estimate of the dose equivalent induced by the consumption of lagoon products is given.
