ESR-spectroscopy of building materials as a dosimetry technique

The possibility of ESR determination of the radiation dose using building materials is studied. Two radiation signals are observed in the brick samples superimposed on a non-radiation broad background signal. The two radiation signals have the different outputs and change differently with microwave power variation. The sensitivity of the method is dependant upon raw material composition. The minimal dose, determined by this method with the radiation signals in bricks, is equal to 0.6 Gy.
