Abstract :
A novel pulse-shape-analysis method that uses the similarity of patterns to recognize individual pulse shapes is presented. The principle of this method is described. The method has been applied to improve the gamma-ray energy spectrum of a CdZnTe semiconductor detector. The energy spectrum has been improved with increased photopeak efficiency and better energy resolution.
