Mixed alpha sources preparation by electrodeposition

This work presents a technical procedure to prepare mixed electroplated alpha sources of (233U, 241Am and 244Cm) and (233U, 238Pu and 244Cm), to carry out the energy calibration curve of an alpha particle spectrometer, an option to the use of individual standards, maintaining the same experimental conditions. The chemical processing of the standard radionuclide solutions were made with the purpose to find the best pH range of the electrolytic solution, resulting in a yield deposition of 90%.
