Abstract :
A series of 1,4-bis(arylamino)anthraquinone dyes have been synthesized. 1,4-Bis(2,5-di-tertbutylanilino)anthraquinone was 200 times more soluble than 1, 4-dianilinoanthraquinone in hexane at 25°C. The decomposition temperatures of the 1,4-bis(arylamino)anthraquinone derivatives were higher than those of 1, 4-diamino- and 1, 4-bis(methylamino)anthraquinones.
