A conceivable explanation of the Fennoscandian seismicity

Under the simplified assumption that the crust behaves elastically and that the driving force is the push from the Mid-Atlantic Ridge we get a tentative explanation of the Fennoscandian seismicity as due to stress concentrations at discontinuities in the crust.
