Abstract
A new delafossite type oxide CuInO2 was synthesized by cation exchange reaction of CuCl with LiInO2, which was produced from Li2O and In(OH)3. An almost single phase was obtained at 350°C for 144 h. The structure of CuInO2 was refined by Rietveld analysis and the final S value became 1.1636. CuInO2 is rhombohedral, R-3m, a=3.2922 ?, c=17.388 ?.
