Abstract :
The lattice parameters of Al3BC3 have been measured at room temperature up to 7.5 GPa using X-ray powder diffraction with synchrotron radiation. From the obtained pressure-volume relation for Al3BC3, the isothermal bulk modulus of B0=153?6 GPa and its pressure derivative of dB0/dp=19?4 have been calculated by fitting a Birch-Murnaghan equation of state. Al3BC3 undergoes no structural transformations up to 1800 K over the 2.5 to 5.3-GPa pressure range
