Abstract :
Subsolidus phase relations in the Co-rich region of the La–Co–Ti system have been investigated by means of X-ray diffraction. The phase diagram can be divided into six three-phase and three two-phase regions. In the investigated composition region, a new ternary compound exists: La2Co17-xTix (x=0.8–1.2) (Th2Zn17-type structure)
