Modified diagram of Friedman’s symbolic representation of cleft lip and palate anomalies

SUMMARY. This paper describes the modification of the symbolic representation of Cleft Lip and Palate anomalies described by Friedman et al. These modifications were made in order to facilitate the computerisation of clinical records and database integration, and to improve the compliance and accuracy of cleft data collection.
