Abstract :
Purpoe
To report the feaibility of real-time video and audio tranmiion of lit-lamp image of the eye uing conventional telephone ytem. METHOD: We analyzed the feaibility and benefit of telemedicine in the diagnoi and follow-up of ocular urface diorder in referral patient uing a real-time audio-video ytem that function through integrated ervice digital network line at a tranmiion peed of 384 kilobyte per econd.
Reult
Real-time lit-lamp image obtained through integrated ervice digital network line offered atifactory viual reolution of the ocular urface for the diagnoi and follow-up of ocular urface and corneal dieae, while imultaneou audio tranmiion allowed for direct communication with the patient and attending phyician when neceary.
Concluion
Telemedicine uing conventional telecommunication infratructure offer ufficient information for the diagnoi and follow-up of ocular urface diorder in referral patient.
