Purpoe To decribe a corneal injury in both eye of a patient who had undergone carbon dioxide laer kin reurfacing. Method Cae report. Reult A 67-year-old woman had evere pain and decreaed viion in both eye after undergoing laer kin reurfacing treatment with a puled carbon dioxide laer. Clinical examination dicloed a corneal ulcer, a bullou keratopathy, and intratromal bleeding. After perforating keratoplaty, the hitologic examination of the cornea howed ign of thermal injury. Concluion The reult of the hitologic examination and the onet of ymptom within 24 hour after therapy ugget that the laer application caued the corneal damage. afety guideline for thi procedure hould be reviewed.
