The Effect of Aqueou Humor uppreant on Intravitreal Ga Bubble Duration in Rabbit

Purpoe: To evaluate the effect of topical aqueou humor uppreant on the aborption of intravitreal perfluorocarbon gae. Method: ulfur hexafluoride or perfluoropropane wa injected intravitreally in five rabbit. Time to ga diappearance wa meaured in eye treated with topical aqueou humor uppreant and in thoe not treated. Reult: The mean time (± D) to diappearance of 0.4 cc of ulfur hexafluoride wa 5.6 ± 0.9 day, which wa prolonged by 43% to 8.0 ± 0.7 day with topical aqueou humor uppreant (P = .009). The mean time (± D) to diappearance of 0.2 cc of perfluoropropane wa 18.4 ± 1.9 day, which wa prolonged by 55% to 28.6 ± 2.7 day with topical aqueou humor uppreant (P = .009). Concluion: Aqueou uppreant prolong ulfur hexafluoride and perfluoropropane intravitreal ga bubble duration in rabbit.
