Cutaneou angioarcoma with eyelid involvement

Purpoe: To report a clinicopathologic correlation of angioarcoma affecting the eyelid kin. Method: An 82-year-old man developed multiple bruie-like maculopapular leion, ubcutaneou nodule, and diffue edema over hi calp, face, and eyelid. Biopy dicloed angioarcoma, and the patient wa treated with wide-field external beam radiotherapy (5,000 cGy). Reult: He reponded to radiotherapy with partial regreion of the tumor. Twelve month later, he developed extenive lymphedema econdary to the reidual tumor. He wa alo found to have parotid gland and bone metatae, treated with radiotherapy. The patient died of widepread bone metatae 3 month later. Concluion: Angioarcoma i a rare kin tumor that ha a poor prognoi depite treatment. It hould be conidered in the differential diagnoi of eyelid tumor and edema becaue it may affect only the central portion of the face.
