Whipple dieae preenting a poterior uveiti without prominent gatrointetinal ymptom

Purpoe: To decribe the clinical preentation and coure of Whipple dieae in an adult. Method: A 34-year-old man with phthii bulbi in the right eye econdary to uveiti-induced neovacular glaucoma preented with evere acute poterior uveiti in the left eye. He underwent eophagogatroduodenocopy and jejunal biopy for evaluation of anemia. The poterior uveiti wa treated with a ubtenon injection of triamcinolone. Reult: The diagnoi of Whipple dieae wa confirmed by polymerae chain reaction analyi of the jejunal biopy that demontrated Tropheryma whippelii rDNA. Concluion: Although Whipple dieae i typically evident with malaborption, it can alo preent a uveiti without prominent gatrointetinal ymptom.
