Trochlear nerve enhancement on three-dimenional magnetic reonance imaging in Fiher yndrome

PURPOE: To examine the leion aociated with external ophthalmoplegia in Fiher yndrome uing three-dimenional magnetic reonance imaging (3-D MRI). METHOD: Cae report. A 65-year-old woman with Fiher yndrome wa invetigated by gadolinium-enhanced 3-D MRI. REULT: The extramedullary portion of the left trochlear nerve wa enhanced. CONCLUION: Contrat-enhanced 3-D MRI revealed that the leion reponible for the external ophthalmoplegia in Fiher yndrome i located in the extramedullary portion of the trochlear nerve.
