Abstract
PURPOE: To determine whether latanoprot, an ocular hypotenive agent believed to enhance uveocleral outflow of aqueou humor, augment the aqueou-uppreing effect of dorzolamide, a topical carbonic anhydrae inhibitor.
METHOD: Twenty-four normal ubject underwent meaurement of aqueou humor flow by fluorophotometry to determine the flow with placebo, with dorzolamide, and with a combination of dorzolamide and latanoprot.
REULT: The flow of aqueou humor wa uppreed 13% by dorzolamide but not by latanoprot. Latanoprot did not augment the effect of dorzolamide on aqueou humor flow; latanoprot and dorzolamide had additive ocular hypotenive effect.
CONCLUION: The uveocleral flow effect of latanoprot doe not improve the aqueou-uppreing effect of dorzolamide, but the two drug have additive ocular hypotenive effect.
