PURPOE: To determine the frequency of remiion in patient with eential blepharopam and Meige yndrome. METHOD: Retropective analyi of patient by mean of quetionnaire in an intitutional etting. REULT: Among 238 patient diagnoed in a ingle intitution a having eential blepharopam or Meige yndrome, 27 (11.3%) claimed to be ymptom free without curative urgery. The average time between onet and reolution in the patient who claimed remiion wa 4.85 year (range, 3 month to 22 year). Among thee patient, the duration of remiion averaged 6.33 year (range, 1 year to 14 year). CONCLUION: Patient with eential blepharopam or Meige yndrome have a mall but definite potential for pontaneou remiion of ymptom, particularly within the firt 5 year after onet of ymptom.
