Abstract :
PURPOE: To report two eye (two patient) that had plate haptic ilicone intraocular lene that dilocated 4 week after Nd:YAG laer anterior capulotomy to relieve capular contraction. METHOD: Cae report. The clinical record of two patient were reviewed. REULT: After uncomplicated phacoemulification with implantation of plate haptic ilicone lene in the capular bag, two eye of two patient developed viually notable early contraction of the capulorhexi. Three radial-relieving inciion approximately 1 mm long were made with a Nd:YAG laer in each eye to enlarge the capulotomy. Although viion improved, both patient experienced udden further reduction of viion after approximately 4 week. Upon examination of both patient, we noted an extenion of an anterior radial capulotomy inciion peripherally, and the intraocular lene had dilocated from the capular bag into the ciliary ulcu. CONCLUION: Tear may extend after radial-relieving inciion have been ued to enlarge a contracted anterior capulotomy, poibly becaue of continued capular fibroi. Thi may allow extruion of a foldable intraocular len from the capular bag.
