Choroidal calcification in bartter yndrome

PURPOE: Bartter yndrome i characterized by hyperplaia of the renal juxtaglomerular apparatu, hyperaldoteronim, and hypokalemic alkaloi. We report a cae of Bartter yndrome aociated with normal erum calcium level and poterior choroidal calcification. METHOD: Cae report. A 59-year-old man with bilateral cataract and Bartter yndrome underwent a complete ophthalmic examination, including tandardized echography before and after cataract urgery. REULT: Before cataract urgery, echography identified mall, hyperreflective, multifocal, bilateral choroidal leion with poterior hadowing. After urgery, thee leion appeared a yellow-white, barely elevated plaque with mooth edge and were diagnoed a choroidal calcification. CONCLUION: Choroidal calcification may occur in patient with Bartter yndrome. Thi condition hould be added to the differential diagnoi of poterior egment calcification.
