Multiple cranial arteriovenou malformation in a child with eventual blindne in the affected eye

PURPOE: To report a cae of multiple cranial arteriovenou malformation involving the orbit and retina. METHOD: Cae report. We treated a 7-year-old girl who wa diagnoed with a left ubmaxillary, a left retinal, a left orbital, and a middle ubdural arteriovenou malformation. REULT: Enlargement of the arteriovenou malformation, except for the retinal arteriovenou malformation, wa oberved. After external carotid artery embolization and radiation therapy for uncontrolled oral cavity bleeding, lo of light perception in the affected eye occurred, but no marked change occurred in the retinal arteriovenou malformation. CONCLUION: Thi rare cae ugget that the clinical finding of a table retinal arteriovenou malformation may be aociated with enlargement of arteriovenou malformation leion at other ite.
