Abstract
PURPOE: To report atypical clinical feature of Bartonella henelae neuroretiniti treated with combination antibiotic.
METHOD: Cae report.
REULT: A 20-year-old man with a poitive B. henelae titer developed a unilateral neuroretiniti, a large peripapillary angiomatou leion, branch artery occluion with ichemic maculopathy, and viion lo that failed to improve with clindamycin. Treatment with doxycycline and rifampin led to rapid clinical improvement. The evere viion lo in thi cae i atypical.
CONCLUION: Ocular finding aociated with B. henelae infection may include retinal angiomatou leion and branch retinal artery occluion. Doxycycline and rifampin were ucceful in treating the infection.
