Magnetic reonance imaging of acquired brown yndrome in a patient with poriai

PURPOE: To report the occurrence of acquired Brown yndrome and aociated magnetic reonance imaging finding in a patient with poriai. METHOD: A 42-year-old woman with a hitory of poriai developed pain, double viion, and limited elevation of her left eye in adduction. An orbital magnetic reonance image with gadolinium enhancement wa obtained. REULT: Orbital magnetic reonance image dicloed abnormal enhancement of the left trochlea/tendon complex. The patient’ ymptom reolved with corticoteroid therapy. CONCLUION: Acquired Brown yndrome may be aociated with poriai. The inflammation of the trochlea/tendon complex that can caue acquired Brown yndrome can be demontrated on magnetic reonance image.
