Purpoe: To preent a cae demontrating progreion of retinal nerve fiber myelin and to ugget that myelinated retinal nerve fiber be conidered among the peripapillary choritoma. Method: Cae report. A 46-year-old woman demontrated progreion of myelinated retinal nerve fiber and aociated retinal vacular anomalie. Reult: Myelinated retinal nerve fiber can be progreive. We confirm earlier report of vacular anomalie aociated with retinal nerve fiber myelin and how that they can alo be progreive. Concluion: The rarely progreive nature of myelinated retinal nerve fiber and the hitopathologic tudie publihed to date ugget that myelinated retinal nerve fiber repreent a triking ophthalmocopic feature reulting from ectopic oligodendrocyte; thu, the entity may be decribed a an oligodendrocytic choritoma.
