  • Abstract
    Purpoe: To decribe a patient with claic preentation of pontaneou intracranial hypotenion and ubequent improvement with targeted epidural blood patch. Method: Report of one cae and review of the literature. Reult: Examination of cerebropinal fluid after lumbar puncture dicloed a reduced opening preure, an increaed level of protein, and lymphocytic pleocytoi. Magnetic reonance imaging of the brain with gadolinium howed diffue enhancement of the pachymeninge, no evidence of leptomeningeal enhancement, and chronic ubdural fluid collection. Radionuclide citernography demontrated reduced activity over the cerebral convexitie, early accumulation of radiotracer in the urinary bladder, and direct evidence of leakage at the cervicothoracic junction (C7-T1). Clinical, laboratory, and radiologic feature were conitent with the diagnoi of pontaneou intracranial hypotenion. Therapy with a targeted epidural blood patch reulted in the rapid reolution of ymptom. Concluion: In thi report, we decribe a claic cae of pontaneou intracranial hypotenion in a 63-year-old man with an initial preentation of potural headache, blurred viion, pain in the left eye, diplopia on left gaze, and neck orene.
