Iolated inferior rectu parei econdary to a meencephalic cavernou angioma

PURPOE: To report a cae of recurrent binocular, vertical diplopia preenting a an iolated, unilateral inferior rectu parei occurring in a patient with a meencephalic tegmental cavernou angioma. METHOD: Cae report. A 30-year-old man with recurrent vertical diplopia underwent neuro-ophthalmic examination, laboratory examination, pharmacologic teting, and magnetic reonance imaging and angiography. REULT: Magnetic reonance imaging dicloed a leion in the meencephalon conitent with a cavernou angioma. Magnetic reonance angiography wa negative. CONCLUION: Iolated inferior rectu parei i a rare phenomenon. Thi unique cae involved a patient with recurrent inferior rectu parei econdary to a meencephalic cavernou angioma. The diparity between the extent of the leion and the neuro-ophthalmologic conequence i remarkable.
